Cryptocurrency Portfolios

Hello everyone!

My name is Ghenadie and I specialize in cryptocurrency investments within the Trading.md community. In this post I would like to share some general information about cryptocurrencies and show you how I invest in these financial assets.
In simple terms, cryptocurrencies are a form of digital money, created and stored electronically. Compared with fiat money, such as the leu, dollar or euro, cryptocurrencies are not printed, so they are not tangible.

Although they have no physical form, cryptocurrencies can be bought and sold like any other traditional currency. These operations are carried out through virtual currency “exchanges”, similar to shares traded through classic stock exchanges.
Cryptocurrencies are more often invested in than speculated on (as with stocks), which means buying these coins (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, etc) and keeping them in a portfolio for medium or long periods of time.

Below, I want to present 3 personal portfolios made up of cryptocurrencies, created through SWISSQUOTE Bank - a Swiss bank authorized (regulated) for exchange services, which allows cryptocurrencies to be held within its bank accounts.

The first portfolio I want to present was created in June 2020, with the purchase of 4 types of cryptocurrencies from the range of 12 cryptocurrencies available through Swissquote Bank's eTrading platform.

The 2nd digital portfolio was created on September 1, 2020, when I purchased 7 types of cryptocurrencies (EOS, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, Stellar, Ripple, Tezos and Ox).

I created the 3rd digital portfolio at the beginning of this December and filled it with 10 types of coins:

Three different portfolios were created because I made the investments at three different moments in time, according to my analysis and the prices available then. I also used different allocations per coin and different coin combinations. Therefore, it will be easier to see which method brought the highest profit/return.

At the time this article was created (last week), the profitability of these investments was quite good. If we compare the purchase prices with current prices, we get an interesting result, especially considering that this is a passive source of income. The screenshots above were saved at different moments in time. Today prices are higher than they were then.

Long-term investments do not require daily attention, and my positions remain open for the long term.

All the best and good luck to everyone with investing!
