Stock market investing: build a portfolio, from zero
The complete course for long-term investing: what stocks, ETFs and bonds are, how to build a balanced portfolio and how to invest in international markets and the local one. Theory and guided practice, with a mentor.
Who it is meant for
The course lays the foundations of long-term investing and takes you all the way to a live account. It starts from zero — you need no prior knowledge or experience.
It's a fit for you if
- You want to put your money to work long term, not just leave it sitting in an account.
- You hear about stocks, ETFs and dividends, but don't know how they fit together into a portfolio.
- You want to understand how to invest properly before putting in real money.
- You're looking for a calm, long-term path, not quick trades.
It's not for you (yet) if
- You're after quick gains or "hot tips" — investing is a long process, not a jackpot.
- You want short-term positions and the currency market — then you're looking for the trading courses.
- You expect guaranteed returns — no serious professional can promise you that.
What you learn in the 10 hours
Five topics, split into 5 lessons over 5 days. Each lesson builds on the previous one — from what investing means all the way to a live account.
What investing in the stock market means
Long-term investing versus speculation and trading. Time horizon, compound interest and why structure matters more than one lucky pick.
The investor's instruments
Stocks, ETFs, bonds; dividends and coupons. What they are, how they generate returns and what risk each carries. Why ETFs are, for many beginners, the starting point.
Building a portfolio
Diversification, allocation across asset classes, risk profile (conservative, moderate, dynamic) and time horizon. Model structures (60/40, three-fund) and rebalancing.
International markets and the local market
How to access international exchanges through a regulated broker: real ownership versus leveraged instruments, currency and transfers. Local instruments — government securities (VMS/eVMS) and the Moldova Stock Exchange.
From theory to a live account + taxation
Opening the account and getting oriented on the platform, selecting instruments, monitoring and rebalancing. Taxation of investments in Moldova. Recap, final test, the certificate of completion and the results assessment report.
We teach the method, not recommendations
The course gives you the foundation and the mindset for long-term investing: what the instruments are, how a portfolio is built, how risk is measured. We explain the principles and show you how they apply, but the decision to buy a specific instrument remains yours.
We do not tell you what, when or how much to buy, and we do not give signals. Personalized investment recommendations are a regulated service reserved for authorized entities. The certificate of completion attests that you completed the course, not an officially recognized qualification.

- In a group — a small group of up to 8 people, with announced start dates. The most affordable price.

Investing is a separate path from trading, with its own rhythm — long and steady. If you want to focus on building capital for retirement, there is a dedicated course, shorter and more conservative: Retirement Investing. And the introductory material is always free on the site, in the Investing section.
What students want to know
No. The course starts from zero. If you've never bought a stock or an ETF and aren't sure what a bond is, this is exactly the course you need — we explain everything from the beginning.
Not for the course. Platform orientation is done on a demo account. Opening a live account and how much you invest remain your decision, after the course.
~10 hours, split into 5 lessons of 2 hours each, over 5 days. For individual and dual formats we set the days together; groups have fixed start dates.
Trading means short-term positions. Investing means holding assets long term — stocks, ETFs, bonds — and building a portfolio. They are separate paths: you can do either, or both. If trading interests you, see Trading Level 1.
Yes. The course covers both access to international exchanges through a regulated broker and the local instruments — government securities (VMS/eVMS) and the Moldova Stock Exchange.
You take a test and receive two documents in your personal account: the certificate of completion — attesting that you completed the course — and an assessment report of your results. The certificate is a document of our school; it is not an officially recognized qualification, it is not a license to provide investment services and it does not substitute for a CNPF attestation.
No. No serious course can promise returns. Investing involves risk, including the risk of losing your capital. The course gives you the right foundation to make informed decisions — that's all.
