Who is responsible, for what, and under which law

In a field where anyone can put up a website and a promise, the right question is not "are you serious?" but "who are you on paper, and what exactly are you entitled to do?". Here is the answer, with verifiable data.

Scope of activity

What we do and what we do not do

The difference between the two columns is exactly the difference between an unrestricted activity and one that requires a licence. We read it carefully, because what you can expect from us depends on it.

What we do

The activities we carry out in our own name

  • Financial education

Paid courses and consultations, articles, guides, tests, a material library, a glossary. We teach the method, not the decision.

  • Intermediation towards regulated brokers

We put you in contact with licensed international brokerage companies, which open the account directly with themselves. We are remunerated by the broker, under service agreements.

  • Onboarding and technical support

We help with opening the account, identity verification, installing and configuring the platform, deposits and withdrawals.

  • Informational support

We answer questions about how the markets, the instruments and the platforms work.

What we do not do

Limits we do not cross, whatever is asked

  • We are not a broker

We do not open trading accounts, we do not execute orders, we do not hold custody of your money or instruments.

  • We do not hold client money

Deposits go directly to the broker, into its accounts. No money intended for trading passes through us.

  • We do not manage accounts or portfolios

We do not trade on your behalf and we do not take money under management. That is a licensed activity and we do not carry it out.

  • We do not provide investment advice

We do not recommend instruments, entry moments or traders to copy. We do not give trading signals.

  • We do not promise profit

We publish no guaranteed returns, we sell no "safe systems" and we do not present trading as a predictable source of income.

The chain of responsibility

Who answers for which part

When you work with us there are three distinct roles in play, each with its own responsibility. Confusing them is the most frequent source of complaints in this field — which is why we take them apart here, one by one.

Role 01

You

The account holder

  • You sign the contract directly with the broker
  • You take every trading decision
  • You carry the outcome, in gain and in loss
  • You declare and pay your taxes in Moldova
Role 02

Trading.md

Education and intermediation

  • Studying the partners and verifying their licences
  • The accuracy of the material we publish
  • The quality of the courses, consultations and support
  • The lawful processing of your personal data
Role 03

The partner broker

A company licensed in its own jurisdiction

  • The account, the money and custody of instruments
  • Order execution and the prices shown
  • The platform and its availability
  • Answers to its own regulator

Worth remembering: complaints about the account, execution or withdrawals go to the broker and, where applicable, to its regulator. Complaints about what we said, taught or promised go to us. We do not hide behind our partners, and we do not answer in their place.

The supervisory authority

Our position towards the CNPF

The position today

26 August 2026

The National Commission for Financial Markets supervises the capital market of the Republic of Moldova: the exchange, professional participants, issuers, funds. We do not appear in the register of supervised entities, because we do not provide investment services and activities within the meaning of Law 171/2012.

Trading.md is not authorised by the CNPF, and no wording on this site should be read otherwise. The investment services themselves are provided by our partners, each licensed by the authority of its own jurisdiction.

Where things are heading

A changing legal framework

Moldovan legislation is aligning with European rules for financial markets. A new framework is being prepared, and it may bring under authorisation activities that are not licensable today.

One example in progress: the law on the crypto-asset market, which partly transposes the European MiCA regulation, passed its second reading in Parliament in August 2026 and enters into force six months after publication in the Official Gazette. The report of the specialised parliamentary committee indicates the framework will be in place by June 2027. It brings crypto-asset service providers under CNPF authorisation. Until it enters into force, Trading.md neither offers nor promotes crypto-asset services.

We follow the process closely and are preparing our file. When authorisation becomes a requirement for what we do, we intend to obtain it.

Independent verification

Check every statement on this page

Everything written above rests on public sources, open to anyone. Below are the registers and the direct links. They are worth going through for any company in this field, not only for us.

01

The company's existence

Search for IDNO 1012600000608 in the State Register of Legal Entities, kept by the Public Services Agency. You will see the name, the registration date, the administrator and the company's status.

02

The LEI code

The legal entity identifier is checked in the global GLEIF database. It shows who holds the code, who issued it and whether it is currently valid.

03

The partners' licences

On each partner broker's page you will find the regulators and licence numbers, with a direct link to the official register. Checking takes a minute.

If something goes wrong

Where to turn, and in what order

  1. Step 1

    To us

For anything to do with courses, consultations, support, published material or personal data. You write, you get a written answer.

  2. Step 2

    To the broker

For the account, order execution, fees, deposits and withdrawals. Every partner has a written complaints procedure and a legal deadline for replying.

  3. Step 3

    To the authorities

Complaints about personal data go to the National Centre for Personal Data Protection. Complaints about a broker go to the regulator that licensed it. The courts remain open at any time.

Frequently asked

What people ask us about our status

Yes. The legislation restricting derivatives targets the firms that offer them, not a person's right to access authorised platforms independently. What you have to do is choose a licensed firm and declare your gains in Moldova. The topic is covered in depth on Trading is legal in the Republic of Moldova.

Next

You have read the hard part. The useful part follows.

If the status is clear, the next question is usually "who pays you?". We answer that with the same openness.

Risk note. Trading financial instruments involving leverage carries a high risk of losing money rapidly. A significant proportion of non-professional (retail) investor accounts record losses. The material on this site is informational and educational and does not constitute an investment recommendation or financial, legal or tax advice. Trading.md is the operating brand of Royal Consulting S.R.L. and is not authorised by the National Commission for Financial Markets. Assess whether you understand how these instruments work and whether you can afford to take the risk of losing money.
