The Executive Board of the National Bank of Moldova sets the base rate about eight times a year at meetings announced in advance. The base rate drives lending and deposit rates and, indirectly, government-bond yields.
The National Bureau of Statistics publishes a dissemination calendar with the exact dates of its releases. Below are the market-relevant ones: consumer prices (inflation), foreign trade, industrial production and wages.

The state borrows through government securities. On the primary market, auctions follow the quarterly calendar of the Ministry of Finance and the NBM. Through the eVMS platform, individuals can subscribe within windows of a few days.
Primary-market auctions are usually held in weeks 1 and 3 of the month, per the quarterly calendar.
The State Tax Service publishes a monthly taxpayer fiscal calendar with filing and payment deadlines by taxpayer category.

The Executive Board of the National Bank of Moldova meets about eight times a year, at meetings scheduled and announced in advance in the “Calendar of Executive Board meetings on monetary policy”.
They are instruments through which the state borrows from investors: treasury bills (up to one year) and government bonds (over one year). The NBM runs the primary market as the Ministry of Finance’s agent, and individuals can buy through the eVMS platform.

The National Commission for Financial Markets (CNPF) supervises the capital market, voluntary pension funds and collective investment undertakings. Prudential supervision of insurers and non-bank lenders moved to the NBM in 2023.
