How do I buy stocks on the Moldova Stock Exchange?

You need an account with an investment firm licensed by the CNPF and a member of the exchange. Be aware that liquidity is very low — many stocks trade rarely, and selling later can take time.

How can I invest in VMS or in stocks on the MSE?

Government securities can be bought directly from the state through the eVMS platform, with no intermediary, from 100 lei — our full guide is on the eVMS page. Stocks on the Moldova Stock Exchange are bought through a CNPF-licensed investment firm; keep in mind that local-market liquidity is very low. The sections above show the current data.

Is there real-time data for the Moldovan stock market?

No. The MSE only publishes statistics after trading sessions, and the NBM publishes a single official exchange rate per day. Real-time or 15-minute-delayed market data should become realistic once the Moldova International Exchange launches.

What is the Moldova International Exchange (BIM)?

A new exchange registered in December 2025, built as a technological replica of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. It aims to revitalize the local capital market and give retail investors modern access. Operational launch is expected in summer 2026.

VMS for individuals (the eVMS platform)

Through the eVMS platform, individuals can buy government bonds directly from the state, with no intermediary, at a nominal value of 100 lei per security. Coupon rates are set for each subscription session.
